Bella 5x7 Watercolor ©Shelly Burden

"Bella is my Mother-in-Laws cat, and is a very sweet kitty. She likes to be petted and rubs against you. She likes to have cold water in her bowl and will meow for you to change the water and give her fresh cold water. She also picks up paper receipts, little yarn balls and puts them in her water dish. Then of course you have to change her water. Ha! She keeps my mother-in-law company and knows Spanish and English " Maggie

Maggie wrote"I'm so excited - Bella looks beautiful. Thank you so much, my mother-in law will be so pleased!"
Maggie, I'm so glad you're happy with your gift!

Jake & Reuben Ornaments ©Shelly Burden
"Jake, a 12 year old rescue was called a “German shepherd want-to-be”. He was born in TX and loved by all kids of all ages who come to play with him. We think that is what keeps him young."
Reuben lived to be 16 years old and was a mean cat. He was a “girlfriend screener” for his male owner. He was hissing, scratching and jumping on the ladies he did not like. The one that was “approved” by him became Reuben’s owner’s wife, my daughter." Olga

After giving her daughter & hubby their gifts Olga wrote:"Caroline and Jason received the gift - ornaments of Jake and Reuben - and they were absolutely thrilled!"

Lucy cutely coiffed in a topknot and Jak with what I'm told is his "sneaky eye" look.
Lucy & Jak Ornaments ©Shelly Burden
"Lucy's a “young at heart” 12+ year old rescue and still called by all a “cute puppy”. She is very reserved and only plays with her big playmate of 55 pounds. (Jake) Lucy is the fastest runner and can be caught only if cornered."
"Jak's a mischievous, lovable & loving pup. He needs every moment of your time and is very demanding – he will get what he wants. In the shelter he came with name King - maybe that's why he still wants to get his way." Olga

Olga had the nicest thing to say,"I'm really impressed by your talent. You've found your touch and it makes your art special
Wow! Thank you Olga!

Tinkerbell Ornament ©Shelly Burden
"Tinkerbell was my parents little pride and joy. Anywhere they went Tinkerbell was either hidden deep in a pocket or snuggled up in their arms. My Dad became sick and had to be confined to nursing rehab. Mom and Tinkerbell visited him daily, spending hours by his side. A few months later my Mom was diagnosed with cancer and passed away.
My Dad, still in nursing rehab was visited by Tinkerbell and I nearly everyday. Everyone loved her at the rehab. She knew right where to go to get to my Dad's room. She would stop and let all the patients pet her on her way. Then she'd jump in bed with my Dad and be right back at home in his arms.
On Feb 14th my Dad went home to be with my Mom. Me, without brothers or sisters and Tinkerbell without my Mom or Dad, we became very tight. We were all each other had left. So Tinkerbell, is very very dear to me. I've had many dogs growing up in the country. They were what they were and good at the things they needed to do around the place. But as for Tinkerbell, that little 4lb bundle of joy has my heart." Shayna

Clyde 8x10 Graphite Portrait ©Shelly Burden

"Clyde used to go to work with Rob everyday, when Rob got out of his truck that's where Clyde sat until Rob would come back.
Clyde is really Rob’s dog, he only likes/tolerates me when Rob is not around or I have a treat for him. Clyde is the first dog I've’s a huge learning curve and one would think after 13 years I would be use to his moods and quirks but he still seems to surprise me."

Melissa wrote about her husbands gift: "It looks AMAZING…I’m so happy!!! Thank you so much. It's more than I could have imagined!!!"
